Factory Effex has signed an agreement with Blake “Bilko” Williams, who has earned the distinction of being labeled as one of the best all time Freestyle MX riders ever. Bilko’s achievement’s range from winning the 2006 X Games Bronze medal for Best Trick, finishing 2nd overall in the 2007 Dew Tour, being honored as the AFMXA Lusk Legacy Foundation Rider of the Year, and winning the 2009 X Games Gold medal for FMX along with a Silver medal in Best Trick.
“Bilko and I sat down earlier this summer and discussed some really exciting graphic collaborations for him to get involved with us this year starting in this summers X Games, which led to us both realizing we can work together on select Bilko branded kits that we plan to bring to market as Limited Edition signature complete graphics kits later this year” said Scott Gilly, Vice President of Factory Effex. “Bilko has been together with FX for years as one of our premier freestyle athletes, to see his interest in being directly involved with our brand and the product we make for him is a great fit, we expect to have some really great looking products come from this newly structured relationship.
With Freestyle MX getting more and more serious with the evolution and progression of the tricks that are being executed in today’s Freestyle events around the world, we wish Bilko a safe journey, as well as continued success in the coming months as he goes for more gold starting in Summer X Games later this month.” |

FACTORY EFFEX INC. Announces New Rider for Outdoor Nationals
Factory Effex is proud to announce they will be helping out multi-time SX and Outdoor motocross champion Grant Langton, who will contest a Yamaha YZ450F as a privateer for the remaining 2010 AMA Outdoor series.
Grant Langston, who was left without a ride when the team he was riding for ceased operations,  has made the decision to continue running the remainder of the series on his own in 2010 as a true privateer effort supported by Langston Motorsports. Grant will be getting additional support from Yamaha which includes GYTR, Yamalube plus FMF, Dunlop, Cycra, O’Neal and more.
“When I was approached by our National Sales Manager, Chuck Kober, about Grant needing last minute support to make his bikes look good and offer support for him to get through the remaining 10 rounds of the AMA Outdoor series, I didn’t hesitate” said Scott Gilly, Vice President of Factory Effex. “To have a rider of Grant’s abilities running his big #8 is an honor, and during these ultra difficult times that our economy and industry have encountered for the last 18 months, it’s only fitting to be able to step in and help a true Champion of Langton’s caliber.
We all wish Grant the very best in success this summer and look forward to the results he is sure to bring. |
